It’s 2050 and the Edmonton Metropolitan Region is one of the best places in the world to live in, invest in, build a business, and build a life. We did it by activating people — to think boldly and work together to drive our region forward.
In the Edmonton region, everyone has what they need to succeed. We turn ideas and challenges into new solutions – which we take to the world. By working together, the community has increased investment activity that adds value and brings significant impact to the region’s economy.
The Edmonton region is a place where we plan our future together. We have an energy here that is seen and felt worldwide – a light in the northern sky.
Industry-led and outcome-focused. It includes a number of task forces, working to unlock the region’s strengths and establish the Edmonton region as a global destination for investment and innovation.
Mobilizing the region around existing initiatives and starting new ones, all with the goal of strengthening the Edmonton region’s competitiveness.
Inclusive of all the players in the ecosystem—business, Indigenous, political, institutional, and entrepreneurial leaders are all invited to #jointhemovement.
The Edmonton region is located on Treaty Six Territory and Métis Nation of Alberta Regions 2 and 4.
The Edmonton Metropolitan Region is located on Treaty 6 Territory. We acknowledge this land as the traditional gathering place and center for trade for many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples. We recognize that inclusivity is at the heart of sustainable growth and understand that Indigenous partnerships and voices must be at the forefront of radical transformation of our region.
